THINK LEPROSY NOW CAMPAIGN 2016 / GLOBAL APPEAL 2016

The Nippon Foundation will hold the 11th annual "Global Appeal to end stigma and discrimination
against people affected by leprosy" on January 26, 2016 in Tokyo.

The Appeal will be made with Junior Chamber International, a worldwide community of young, active citizens with branches in 130 countries, and be followed by two panel discussions and a talk event. The themes of the panel discussions are “Health and Human Rights-Combating Discrimination,” and “Views of Younger Generations-What We Can Learn from Leprosy.” The talk event will provide religious and historical perspectives on leprosy issues in Japan. People affected by leprosy, human rights experts, health professionals and representatives of international organizations and NGOs are among those who will come to Tokyo from all over the world to participate in this event. The Global Appeal will also be broadcast live via YouTube. For more details, please refer to the program(updated regularly).
