Federative Republic of Brazilブラジル連邦共和国

Brazil is the only country today with a population of over 1 million people that has yet to mark the elimination of leprosy as a public health problem (defined by the WHO as a prevalence rate of less than 1 case per 10,000 people). After India, it reports the second highest number of annual new cases (26,395 cases in 2015) . Despite the efforts of the government, international organizations and NGOs, challenges remain.
