In Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham Province, a two-hour drive from Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, is a village called Treung. In the 1960s and 1970s, people with leprosy from all over the country were forcibly resettled here. The policy of enforced isolation was ended in 1975, but the village still existed in 2008, when these photos were taken.
