In the southwestern Russian city of Astrakhan is the Institute of Leprosy Training and Research, while in Stavropol krai in the North Caucasus is Tersky leprosarium. Tersky is the oldest leprosarium in the Russian Federation, founded some 120 years ago. (As of 2016)
